SEASON OF ELIJA, CROSS AND MOSES

SER: Let us all stand together with joy and hope, and pray,
"Lord, hear our prayer."

ALL: Lord, hear our prayer. (Repeat after each prayer).

SER: Lord, in Your loving kindness / You accepted the laws
and prophets / and fulfilled them. Help us to see You in our supe-
riors / and listen to their orders. Let us pray.

SER: Lord, help us to serve You throughout our lives / with the
same enthusiastic diligence of Elijah / and courage of Moses. Let
us pray.

SER: Lord, you transfigured on Mount Tabor / and strength-
ened Your beloved disciples who were terrified. Enable us to joy-
fully welcome You / when You come in glory / on the day of
judgment. Let us pray.

SER: Lord, we beseech You / to teach our political leaders / to
relinquish all means of violence / and to lead all people in the
ways of love, compassion and peace. Let us pray.

SER: Lord, bless our Holy Father Pope Mar ... (Name) / the
head of the universal Church / our Major Archbishop Mar ...
(Name) / the father and of our Syro-Malabar Church / Our
Bishop Mar ... (Name) / the father and head of our diocese /
Archbishop Mar …, Bishop Mar …, and all other bishops / to
lead us to our heavenly home / as Moses led the chosen race to
the promised land. Let us pray.

SER: Lord, our hope and resurrection, / make us worthy to as-
semble on Your right side / when You come with the sign of the
cross / on the clouds of heaven. Let us pray.

SER: Let us commend ourselves and one another / to the Fa-
ther, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
