His Excellency Mar Jacob Angadiath raised five parishes of the Knanaya Region of the diocese into forane status. The official announcement of these parishes into forane status was done during Kaikkarans’ meeting at Mar Thoma Sleeha Cathedral on Saturday February 28, 2015. The parish priests of these foranes were raised to the rank of the Protopresbyters or forane vicars.
