The Visitation Congregation of the Archdiocese of Kottayam has established this convent as a branch. On July 22, 2000, the sisters arrived in Los Angeles and initially served at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital. They lived at Our Lady of Grace Convent, along with St. Joseph Sisters of Carondelet. In 2008, they moved to Westchester and rented a house. Then the congregation bought a house at 7845 Quill Dr., Downey, CA on March 5, 2009. The convent was solemnly blessed on July 31, 2010, by Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, Bishops Mar Jacob Angadiath, and Bishop Mar Joseph Pandarasseril. The sisters render their services at the hospital situated nearby and work as volunteers at St. Pius X Knanaya Catholic Parish, Los Angeles.

Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, Bishops Mar Jacob Angadiath, and Mar Joseph Pandarasseril blessed this convent on July 18, 2010. The sisters offer their services at a hospital close by and in two different Catholic churches in Chicago – St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish and Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Parish.

This convent is a branch of St Joseph’s Congregation of the Archdiocese of Kottayam. Sisters came to Houston in 2017. Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakkatt officially blessed the convent on October 8, 2017.
