First Anointing
The first anointing is done with the blessed oil of the previous
baptism.

CEL: (Anoints the forehead of the child with the oil). In the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ……
(name) is anointed with the holy oil.

ALL: Amen.

All go in procession to the Bema. The following psalm is
sung during the procession.

ൈസനയ് ൾ തൻ കർ ാേവ / eത്ര വിശി ം നിൻ േഗഹം
നിൻ തിരുസ ിധി േചരാനായ് / ആ ാെവ ം േകഴു .

ജീവി വനാം ൈദവ ിൻ / aപദാനാമൃത ഗാന ൾ
മാമക ചി വും eൻ നാവും / േമാദെമാേടവം പാടു .

ൈസനയ് ൽ തൻ രാജാവാം / ൈദവ ിൽ ബലിപീഠ ിൽ
കുരുകിൽ - മീവൽ പക്ഷികളും / സേ തം കെ .

SER: Let us pray. Peace be with us.

CEL: Lord, our God! When the sweet fragrance of Your love /
wafts over us / and when our souls are enlightened / with the
knowledge of Your truth, may we be found worthy / to receive
Your beloved son / as He appears from the heaven. May we also
glorify You / and praise You unceasingly in Your Church,
crowned like a spouse / with every goodness and grace. For You
are the Lord / and creator of all forever and ever.
