CEL: Our Father in heaven

ALL: Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be
done on earth / as it is in heaven. Give us this day the bread we
need / and forgive us our debts and sins / as we have forgiven
those who offended us. Do not let us fall into temptation, but de-
liver us from the evil one. For, Yours is the kingdom, the power
and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Our Father in heaven, heaven and earth are full of Your glory.
Angels and people sing out Your Glory; Holy, holy, holy are
You.

SER: Let us pray. Peace be with us.

CEL: Lord God, admit this child, Your servant, to the fold of
Your sheep and enlighten him (her) with Your grace. Being re-
born by water and the Holy Spirit may this child become worthy
to call You "Father". Strengthen us, who are weak, so that we
may administer this sacrament worthily. The Father, the Son and
the Holy Spirit, Lord of all, forever.

ALL: Amen.

Psalm 42

CEL: As the deer longs for flowing streams,
so my soul longs for you, O God.
"Unless one is born of water and the Spirit
he cannot enter the kingdom of God".

ALL: My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and behold the face of God?

CEL: Why are you cast down, O my soul,
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him,
My help and my God.

ALL: My soul is cast down within me,
Therefore I remember thee.
