P. 319
Syro-Malabar Holy Mass in English 319
CEL: Let Your ears be attentive /
to the voice of my supplications.
If You, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
Lord, who could stand?
ALL: But there is forgiveness with You, / I wait for the Lord.
CEL: In His word I hope, / my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning.
ALL: More than watchmen for the morning,
O Israel, hope in the Lord.
CEL: For with the Lord there is mercy,
and with Him is plenteous redemption.
ALL: And He will redeem Israel / from all his iniquities.
CEL: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
ALL: From the beginning is now, always,
and forever. Amen.
CEL: O Lord, let Your name be blessed,
for You raise the dead from their tombs.
--------------------------------------
(After the Psalms, priest blesses the incense)
SER: Let us pray. Peace be with us.
(ON SUNDAYS AND FEAST DAYS)
CEL: Lord, our God! When the sweet fragrance of Your love /
wafts over us / and when our souls are enlightened / with the
knowledge of Your truth, may we be found worthy / to receive
Your beloved Son / as He appears from the heaven. May we also
glorify You / and praise You unceasingly in Your Church,
crowned like a spouse / with every goodness and grace. For You
are the Lord / and creator of all forever and ever.
ALL: Amen.
