The Latin Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago appointed Fr. Cyriac Manthuruthil as the director of Knanaya Catholic Mission on May 31, 1988. The previous director of Knanaya Catholic Ministry was Fr. Jacob Chollampel. He served the mission until the Archdiocese of Chicago appointed Fr. Simon Edathiparambil as the director of Knanaya Catholic Mission on August 16, 1995.
