ASSIGNMENTS

CHICAGO (Associate 2011 July 20 – 2011 December 31)

Fr. Saji Pinarkayil was associate pastor of both Sacred Heart and St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parishes in Chicago from April 1, 2011 to January 1, 2012 when Fr. Abraham Mutholath was vicar in both parishes. Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Saji Pinarkayil as pastor of Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Parish from January 1, 2012.

CHICAGO SACRED HEART (2012 January 1 – 2014 October 17)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Saji Pinarkayil, who has been associate pastor of both Sacred Heart and St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic parishes in Chicago as the pastor of Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Parish, Chicago on January 1, 2012.

Under the leadership of Fr. Saji Pinarkayil a shrine of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was installed at the parking lot of the church. Mar Mathew Moolakkatt blessed it on September 17, 2012. Fr. Saji also took initiative to buy a house in Elmhurst on October 9, 2012 as rectory for the parish. Mar Mathew Moolakkatt blessed it on November 27, 2012.

When Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Saji Pinarkayil as pastor of the Knanaya Catholic Parish in Houston, the bishop transferred Fr. Abraham Mutholath from St. Mary’s Parish to the Sacred Heart church for a second term with effect from October 18, 2014.

HOUSTON (2014 October 18 – 2018 April 30)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Saji Pinarkayil as pastor of St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish, Houston from October 18, 2014.

Mar Jacob Angadiath elevated this parish as a Forane on February 18, 2015 with Fr. Saji Pinarkayil as the Forane Vicar. St. Joseph’s Congregation of Kottayam Archdiocese started a convent in this parish on August 5, 2017.

Fr. Saji Pinarkayil served the parish until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Suni Padijarekkara as pastor of from May 1, 2018.

SAN JOSE, CA (2018 May 1 – )

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Saji Pinarkayil as the pastor of St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Forane Parish, San Jose from May 1, 2018. Fr. Mathew Meledath was the former pastor.

TRACY, CA  (2018 May 1 – )

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Saji Pinarkayil as the director of the Knanaya Catholic Mission in Tracy, CA along with his responsibility as pastor of St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish of San Jose from May 1, 2018. Fr. Mathew Meledath was the former director.

SACRAMENTO  (2018 May 1 – 2018 June 3)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Saji Pinarkayil as the director of St. Pope John Paul II Knanaya Catholic Mission, Sacramento along with his responsibility as pastor of San Jose Knanaya Catholic Parish on May 1, 2018. Fr. Mathew Meledath was the previous director.

Fr. Saji Pinarkayil served the mission until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Abraham Kalarickal as the director of the mission with residence in Sacramento on June 3, 2018.
