Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Bipy Tharayil as the associate pastor of St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish, Rockland from September 20, 2019 while Fr. Jose Adoppallil was the pastor. Fr. Bipy Tharayil was appointed as the pastor from January 1, 2020. Mar Joy Alappatt transferred Rev. Fr. Bipy Tharayil from this parish and appointed him as the pastor of Christ the King Knanaya Catholic Parish Carteret, NJ and Mission Director of Knanaya Catholic Mission of Philadelphia with effect from September 15, 2025.

WESTCHESTER AND BRONX (2020 January 1 – 2025 September 15)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Bipy Tharayil as the director of St. Joseph Knanaya Catholic Mission of Westchester and Bronx on January 1, 2020. Fr. Jose Adoppillil was the former director. Mar Joy Alappatt relieved Rev. Fr. Bipy Tharayil from this mission and appointed him as the pastor of Christ the King Knanaya Catholic Parish Carteret, NJ and Mission Director of Knanaya Catholic Mission of Philadelphia with effect from September 15, 2025.

CONNECTICUT (2020 January 1 – 2025 September 15)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Bipy Tharayil as the director of Holy Family Knanaya Catholic Mission, Connecticut from January 1, 2020. Fr. Jose Adoppallil was the former director. Mar Joy Alappatt relieved Rev. Fr. Bipy Tharayil from this mission and appointed him as the pastor of Christ the King Knanaya Catholic Parish Carteret, NJ and Mission Director of Knanaya Catholic Mission of Philadelphia with effect from September 15, 2025.

CARTERET, NEW JERSEY (2025 September 15 – )

Mar Joy Alappatt  appointed Rev. Fr. Bipy Tharayil as the pastor of Christ the King Knanaya Catholic Parish Carteret, NJ and Mission Director of Knanaya Catholic Mission of Philadelphia with effect from September 15, 2025 replacing Rev. Fr. Lijo Kochuparambil.

PHILADELPHIA (2025 September 15 – )

Mar Joy Alappatt  appointed Rev. Fr. Bipy Tharayil as the director of this mission with effect from September 15, 2025 replacing Rev. Fr. Lijo Kochuparambil. He also serves as the pastor of Christ the King Knanaya Catholic Parish Carteret, NJ.
