Rev. Fr. Abraham Kalarikcal

ASSIGNMENTS

ROCKLAND, NY (1998 December 20 – 2007 November 1)

The Archbishop of New York appointed Rev. Fr. Abraham Kalarickal as the on December 20, 1998 as the Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Victory Church, Mount Vernon, New York in view of serving the Knanaya Catholic Community in Rockland area. Fr. Jose Sauriamakil was the former mission director.

Fr. Thomas Kottoor and Fr. Abraham Kalarickal worked together until Fr. Thomas Kottoor moved to Detroit for studies.

After the establishment of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago in 2001, Mar Jacob Angadiath officially recognized the Knanaya Catholic Mission of Rockland on October 29, 2003, along with nine other Knanaya Catholic Missions in the USA, as a mission of the St. Thomas Diocese of Chicago. He also confirmed the appointment of Fr. Abraham Kalarickal as the director of the mission.

 He served the mission until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. James Ponganayil as the director from November 1, 2007.

WESTCHESTER AND BRONX (1998 December 20 – 2008 August 16)

Fr. Abraham Kalarickal was appointed as the director of Knanaya Catholic Mission of Westchester and Bronx from December 20, 1998. Fr. Thomas Kottoor was the former director.

Fr. Abraham Kalarickal served the mission until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Thomas Pralel as the director on August 17, 2008.

SACRAMENTO (2018 June 3 – 2022 January 27)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Abraham Kalarickal as the mission director from June 3, 2018  with his residence at Holy Spirit Church of the Sacramento Diocese. The bishop appointed Fr. Regi Thandassery as the mission director from January 30, 2022. Fr. Saji Pinarkayil was the former director from May 1, 2018.

DALLAS  (2022 January 27)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Abraham Kalarickal as the pastor from January 27, 2022.
