Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. James Cheruvil as the director of the Knanaya Catholic Mission, Houston on January 1, 2007. Fr. Joseph Manappurath was the former director.
Fr. James Cheruvil served the mission until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jose Illikunnumpurath as the mission director from December 28, 2010.
Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. James Cheruvil as the director of the Knanaya Catholic Mission, Dallas on January 1, 2007. Fr. Joseph Manappurath was the former director.
Fr. James Cheruvil served the mission until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jose Saurianmakil as the mission director on July 5, 2009.
Convinced by the presentations of Vicar General and Knanaya Region Director Fr. Abraham Mutholath, half of the Knanaya Catholic families of San Antonio applied to Mar Jacob Angadiath to establish a Knanaya Mission there. Mar Angadiath established the mission on May 16, 2009 with Fr. James Cheruvil, the mission director of Knanaya Catholic Mission, Houston as the director. Fr. Abraham Mutholath inaugurated this mission on the same day.
Monthly Holy Qurbana was arranged with the mission director coming from Houston. The mission bought an Assembly Hall Building from Yahweh Witness for the church. Mar Jacob Angadiath, along with Mar Mathew Moolakkatt and Mar Joseph Pandarasseril consecrated the church on July 21, 2010 and elevated the mission as a parish. Fr. James Cheruvil was appointed as its first pastor. He served until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jose Illikunnumpurath as the pastor from December 28, 2010.
