ASSIGNMENTS

MIAMI (2014 October 18 – 2015 December 19)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jose Adoppillil as the director of St. Jude Knanaya Catholic Mission, Miami on October 18, 2014. Fr. Jemy Puthusseril was the former director.

Under the leadership of Fr. Jose Adoppallil, the mission bought a church from the Archdiocese of Miami at Fort Lauderdale. Mar Jacob Angadiath, along with Mar Mathew Moolakkatt and Archbishop of Miami Most Rev. Bishop Thomas Wensky, consecrated the church on May 31, 2015 and elevated the mission as a parish with Fr. Jose Adoppallil as its first pastor.

Fr. Jose Adoppillil served the parish until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Suni Padinjarekkara as the pastor from December 15, 2015.

ROCKLAND, NY (2015 December 20 – 2020 January 1)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jose Adoppillil as the director of Knanaya Catholic Mission, Rockalnd from December 20, 2015. Fr. Renny Kattel was the former director.

Under the leadership of Fr. Jose Adoppillil, this mission bought a church from the Archdiocese of New York in September 2017. Mar Jacob Angadiath, along with Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, blessed the church and elevated the mission as a parish on September 23, 2017. Fr. Jose Adoppillil was appointed as the first pastor of this parish.

Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Bipy Tharayil as the associate pastor of the parish from September 20, 2019. Fr. Jose Adoppillil served the parish until Fr. Bipy Tharayil was appointed as the pastor from January 1, 2020.

WESTCHESTER AND BRONX (2015 December 20 – 2019 December 31)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jose Adoppillil as the director of St. Joseph Knanaya Catholic Mission of Westchester and Bronx on December 20, 2015. Fr. Renny Kattel was the former director.

Fr. Jose Adoppillil served the mission until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Bipy Tharayil as the director from January 1, 2020.

CONNECTICUT (2015 December 20 – 2020 January 1)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jose Adoppillil as the director of Holy Family Knanaya Catholic Mission, Connecticut from December 22, 2015. Fr. Renny Kattel was the former director. Fr. Jose Adoppillil served the mission until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Bipy Tharayil as the director from January 1, 2020.

ORLANDO, FL  (2020 January 1 – 2022 July 30)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jose Adoppillil as the director of St. Stephen Knanaya Catholic Mission of Orlando from January 1, 2020. He served the mission while serving also as the pastor of Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Parish, Tampa. Fr. Mathew Meledath was the former director of the mission. Fr. Adoppillil was relieved from the mission director position of Oralndo when the bishop appointed Fr. Joby Puchookandathil as the mission director while serving also as associate of Tampa.

Under the leadership of Fr. Jose Adoppillil, the mission bought a church and adjacent property at 14807 Sussex Dr, Orlando, FL 32826. On August 21, 2021, the mission was raised into a parish and Fr. Jose Adoppillil was appointed as the first pastor of the newly elevated Parish.

TAMPA 2020 January 1 – )

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jose Adoppillil as pastor of Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Parish Tampa from January 1, 2020. Fr. Mathew Meledath was the previous pastor.
