Rev. Fr. Dominic Joseph Madathilkalathil

ASSIGNMENTS

SAN JOSE, CA  (2000 July 1 – 2008 September 26)

San Jose Bishop Patrick J. McGrath started a Knanaya Catholic Mission in San Jose and appointed Fr. Dominic Joseph Madathilkalathil from Kottayam diocese as the director. Fr. Dominic Joseph reached San Jose on July 1, 2000 as the director of the mission and served the diocese of San Jose as Parochial Vicar at St. Frances Cabrini Church.

After the establishment of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago in 2001, Mar Jacob Angadiath officially recognized the Knanaya Catholic Mission of San Jose on October 29, 2003, along with nine other Knanaya Catholic Missions in the USA, as a mission of the St. Thomas Diocese of Chicago. He also confirmed the appointment of Fr. Dominic Madathilkalathil as the director of this mission.

Fr. Dominic served the mission until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. John Chennakuzhiyil as the mission director from September 27, 2008

SAN ANTONIO (2011 May 14 – 2011 December 2) 

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Dominic Madathilkalathil as fulltime pastor of St. Antony’s Parish, San Antonio from May 14, 2011. Fr. Jose Illikunnumpurath was the former pastor.

Fr. Dominic Madathilkalathil served the parish until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Siju Mudakkodil as pastor from December 3, 2011.

ATLANTA  (2011 November 1 – 2014 October 17)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Dominic Madathilkalathil as the pastor of Holy Family Knanaya Catholic Parish, Atlanta from November 1, 2011. Fr. Abey Vadakkekara was the former pastor.

Fr. Dominic Madathilkalathil served until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Jemy Puthusseril as the pastor of this parish on October 18, 2014.

TAMPA (2014 October 18 – 2017 November 5)

Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Dominic Madathilkalathil as pastor of Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Mission in Tampa from October 18, 2014. Fr. Pathrose Champakkara was the former pastor.

Mar Jacob Angadiath elevated this parish as a forane on February 18, 2015 with Fr. Dominic Madathilkalathil as the forane vicar. Vicar General Fr. Thomas Mulavanal inaugurated the forane on April 12, 2015.

Fr. Dominic continued his service here until Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed Fr. Joseph Saurimakal as pastor from November 6, 2017.
