Dance at the Religious Education Festival
biggest hope I have is that we as religious education teachers can prepare the
future generations of the Knanaya Catholic community to keep the faith and cul-
ture alive. My mother has taught me the idea that preparing the next generation
is an early start to pass on the preparations for the generations to come one after
another.
In a summary, I believe that I have taught, learned, and grown just as my stu-
dents have and if all of you teachers really think about it, I think we all share this
idea and experience.
Teaching is not as easy as some may think or say. Teaching is a huge respon-
sibility. We have to deal with kids wanting to go to the bathroom or get a drink
of water again, to kids who start com-
plaining about little things. However,
when you see the faces of the little
children smile or light up in your I believe that the
classroom, you know you are doing
something right. When the children Religious education
come up to you with their little prob- program is an
lems, you know you can help them.
Therefore, being their teacher opportunity for these
becomes a heartwarming experience students to
and an honor to be titled as their reli-
gious education teacher as they tag experience the
along and call us “chechi” or” chet- friendships and pride
tai.”
On behalf of the Religious educa- of being Knanaya
tion staff, I would like to thank Fr. Catholics. The one

There are not enough words to
express our gratitude. I hope that each outside offers is the
year will bring positive growth and common bond that
changes to our Religious Education
program so that it continues to be a connects us all:
positive aspect of our lives. Knanayaism.
