388 Confession Prayers
Hail Holy Queen

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our
hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we
send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn
then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after
this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O
clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!

Leader: Pray for us O Holy Mother of God,

All: That we may be worthy of the promises of Christ.

Leader: Let us pray.

All: O God whose only begotten Son by his life, death, and Resurrec-
tion has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant we beseech
thee, that meditating on these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the
Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain
what they promise through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

CONFESSION PRAYERS

I Confess

I confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I
have sinned through my own fault, (strike the breast) in my thoughts
and in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do;
and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angles and saints, and you,
my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord Our God.

Act of Contrition

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do
wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against You whom I
should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do pen-
ance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior
Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In His name, my God, have
mercy. Amen.
