382 Koodarayogam Prayers
15: That all our brethren who passed away / in the hope of resurrec-
tion / may be made worthy to participate / in the glory of the resurrec-
tion of Jesus Christ: .
16: That our brethren / who were nourished by the Body and Blood of
Christ / and who embraced the eternal sleep of death / may be given
eternal life:
17: That we may be given the grace / to rise up at the last judgment
day / with a radiance excelling that of the sun:
18: That we may be enabled to arrive at the heavenly joy / that has
been prepared for the just / from the beginning of the world:
19: Let us commend ourselves and one another / to the Father, the Son,
and the Holy Spirit.
ALL: Lord, Our God, we commend ourselves to You.
LEADER: Lord, who sent your Holy Spirit / to fill the apostles with
the Spirit of the Holy Gospel, bless this congregation / with the gifts of
Your Holy Spirit / so that we all may bear witness to You as missionar-
ies. Bless us to grow in mutual love and unity, and to live a life proper
to your followers.
ALL: Amen.
Prayer for the Deceased
Our Father …, Hail Mary ..., Glory be …, & Eternal Rest … 5 times
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; and let the perpetual light
shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful de-
parted through the mercy of the God rest in peace.
