The mission was inaugurated on the same day by Bishop Mar Joy Alappatt,
the Auxiliary Bishop of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of
Chicago in the presence of Vicar General and Knanaya Region Director
Rev. Fr. Thomas Mulavanal
Mar Jacob Angadiath appointed
Fr. Jose Adoppillil as the mission director from January 1, 2020. He
took initiative to start Sunday Masses and other liturgical activities
in a regular basis. The parishioners started looking for a
church facility and finally found a church and adjacent property at

raised into a parish and Fr. Jose Adoppilly is appointed as the first
Pastor of the newly elevated Parish. Vicar General Rev. Fr. Thomas
Mulavanal and the priests from the Knanaya Catholic Region were present
at the inauguration of the St. Stephen’s Knanaya Catholic Parish,
